Severed - Poem
There's no light in his eyes,
From lack of tears they've gone dry.
His smile has long disappeared,
Since he fell to what he feared,
And the name he once knew can't be said,
Because he says that man is dead;
A new soul has been born,
From the death of the forlorn.
His youthful arrogance,
Has been lost from his stance,
His innocence was lost,
Individually was quashed.
Is there any fight left?
His skin's as pale as death,
Like all the blood has drained away;
His voice shakes in dismay,
At the beating in his chest,
He can't believe there's a person left.
Why must he be the man he once was,
And fight against this immovable force
